So who is the Hispanic Fanatic?
Simply put, he has an IQ of 380, the strength of twelve men, and can change the seasons just by waving his hand. Despite these powers, however, he remains a struggling writer.
For the demographically interested, the Hispanic Fanatic is a Latino male who lives in California, where he works as a business writer. He was raised in the Midwest, but he has also lived in New York.
He is the author of the novels Barrio Imbroglio (available here) and Zombie President (available here).
He blogs because he must.
He can be reached at hispanicf@gmail.com

Love your posts to the Huffington Post/Blog. Intelligence, a sense of humor, and a dash of cynicism add up to the perfect Latino/Hispanic male. I’ll keep reading your posts. I teach and would love to share some of your entries with students. May I?

Actually, in Fairfax and Prince William counties, the housing collapse and meltdown was primarily a Latino experience.
Begginning in 2004, low income Latinos began purchasing expensive homes in the county. By 2006, Fairfax County set-up a special task force to enforce zoning violations. Most of the homes purchased had become boarding homes for dozens of illegal latino immigrants.
By 2007 Fairfax county had expanded zoning enforcement by 2007 to combat widespread overcrowding, trash, building code violations. Many neighborhoods had begun to resemble shanty towns filled with illegal immigrants.
By 2008, the flood of foreclosures began as payments reset on the unaffordable mortgages. By late 2008, 1000’s of newly arrived Latino’s had their homes foreclosured. Trash, overcrowding, sexual assaults all dropped. The sun began to shine again.
Unfortunately, the massive mortgage fraud conducted by the Latinos began to have a negative affect on home prices, starting the spiraling down we see today.

Hi, I have been reading your posts and have begun following what you write- well, as time permits- and I have a personal question for you.
I wanted to know more about you, so I Googled (or whatever search engine it was, I dont know) your last name and found what I think are your roots in Wisconsin, including your mother who is an accomplished writer as well, she has published some poetry, recieved some awards, all very impressive. My question, though, as you are such a fanatic Hispanic (your words, not mine) is, would you please tell more about your family background? Were you born in a latin country, or in the USA? was your dad also Hispanic, if not, who was he? Do you have brothers and sisters, are they here in this country too? Or are they in another latin country? Please tell more about who you are and what your roots are?
thank you,

Fanatic,
I received your email. Thanks for the encouragement to blog, and I do want to- but as I reconsidered, I realized that I cannot afford to do that right now as I have so many other things demanding my time and attention. If that ever changes in the future, I will be happy to send you a link. Although I do not agree with your position on immigration or with many of the things you have written on that topic, I do appreciate the manner in which you responded.
By the way, I made a mistake when I included my personal email address at the bottom of my previous post on here. I usually only use that address for personal correspondence and not in public posts. Would you mind, please, editing my last post to delete the email address at the end so that others will not see it? Thank you! I wish you well in your personal life, even if not with this topic that we disagree on.
I will send you a copy of this from my personal email address too. Please let me know after you have deleted my personal email from the post? Thanks.
Warmly,
Sojourn

I recently read one of your statements about Jonny Depp turning down a chance to portray Pancho V.It was well done but if your such a Hispanic Fanatic. My ? is why put down JLo,shes done well for herself and now is a positive role model. And she done better than most ppl in life.Im not a dedicated fan of hers but Ive seen a few films that shes acted in.Personally I thought she did well unlike yourself.Some1 once said if you dont have anything positive to say, dont say anything @ all.I mean you werent making a strong point such as immigration so why bother w/such a petty insult.Sounds life some1 could use a few more lessons in life.So much for you being a Hispanic Fanatic w/promoting positive issues/real @ hand.Truly it sounds like you ate some sour grapes. No offence intended reguardless of what you might think.Signed..Staying poitive in a world of negativity

Here’s my thorough commentary on the topic of identity politics as they pertain to the hybridity which resulted from Spanish conquest of the Americas. The title is appropriately Chicano vs Latino vs Hispanic. Please feel free to send me your insights. http://xicanosblog.tumblr.com/post/11859972927/chicano-latino-hispanic

Hey, just love your hate for America and all the tobacco chew’n rednecks that elected our President, well you know, the man Donald Trump!
You are a desperate little man. What inspires your racism only you can answer. Your hate filled rants are laughable and, frankly, unintelligible. But you are right, you are free to move about, from town to town, to country to country. You are a hispanic fanatic. Then by all means move to a country filled with hispanics. What on earth is stopping you? Oh, they are filled with hispanic racists, like yourself.
Rape, murder and drug cartels, anyone? Hmmmm guess you will stay here, with White people, poor thing!
